Learning In This Modern Age!

Hello everyone! :) in this post I will be talking about technology and its integration into classrooms as well as how it would benefit both the teacher and students while learning. 

  As future teacher candidates we must be qualified to operate properly with technology. Since most of our students will be a generation that was born with advanced technology around them, they are used to close contact with these various tools. In order to capture their attention and make these lessons interactive and fun, we must have enough knowledge about technology. Since these children are used to fast paced life and technology around them, they would expect a similar process. With colorful, eye catching videos or slides and interactive activities, we are capable of making learning more fun and more fit for children of this age.  

Let’s think about first graders, could these children focus on a book for a whole 40 minutes while also listening to the teacher? Perhaps, yes but this process would be absolutely boring for them. If we, however, include some interesting story telling videos or games, their attention would be captured easily. Since they’re gonna have more fun this way, they will also be more enthusiastic for this class and look forward to learning even more. This is just a simple example that could also be applied for older learners. 

To conclude, technology is an essential in our lives, and if used properly it could be quite life-changing.
