Hello everyone!!
In this post I’ll talk about our podcasting task. For this task, me and my friend Yonca picked the “a sound rich story” option. In our task, we created a short story with a simple plot. We then decided on what sort of sounds we would need and made something like a transcript. After that, we sat down together with Yonca and started recording our lines one by one. And then we found the proper sound effects from youtube, deciding on which ones we would use together.
The voice recordings were made on my phone, so I had the
files. During the process of putting the recordings together I got a little
frustrated because I had forgotten how to use editing programmes. I used two different
programmes for cropping and putting the audios together but in the end I
managed. We had fun while plotting the
story and found great ideas pretty quickly. So it was an overall good
experience, excluding my technical difficulties :)
In the future, I would assign this task to my students as
well because it’s a fun thing to do! Very creative things might come out from
them. However, this task needs advanced technological abilities, as well as good social skills so I would
think carefully, and pick a task accordingly.
